Dziga Vertov's A Man With A Movie Camera

  • The LetLove Inn 23-27 23rd Avenue Astoria, NY, 11105 United States (map)

Join us as we present the premiere performance of our all-new score to Dziga Vertov's A Man With A Movie Camera. A groundbreaking work of both experimental and documentary film, it depicts a day in the life of a Soviet city in 1929, using the power of cinema to upend reality in ways that are still dizzying, thrilling, and strangely sexy, dense with ideas and packed with energy. Sight & Sound magazine voted Man With a Movie Camera as the greatest documentary of all time.

We will bring this silent film classic to life with a live performance of our vibrant and sensory new score on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 9:00 PM at The LetLove Inn in Astoria, Queens. Admission is $10 at the door, and this event will have limited seating to comply with COVID-19 guidance.

This program is made possible in part by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
